Acknowledgement of Country

The Team at Toast recognise the Lands on which we live, work and play, that of the Thaua Peoples.

The Thaua tribe is part of a larger network called the Yuin Nation, who have protected and celebrated this unique intersection of land, sea and sky for many thousands of years.

The Merimbula area is abundant with coastal lakes, rambling greenery, crashing waves and rich natural landscapes.

The practices we uphold in our cafe aim to leave minimal impact on this precious place we call home, and we will continue to learn how best to do so.

We recognise the continued custodianship of Country fostered by our First Nations communities and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.

We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded, and this nation will always be Aboriginal Land.
